Clunking noise over bumps in TL Type "S"

Hi all,

Had my Type "S" for a few weeks now. love the car but don't like the cluncking sound i hear almost over any kind of bump in the road. is this normal?

i realize it's a performance car and there are some sacrafices for handling but this clunky sound is far from rewarding sounds like a broken shock mount i had on my 77 camaro when i was kid...

is the clunking sound something obvious that i would immediately know i had the issue, or is it something that i would have to listen for

Honestly, I own a 2006 and have no first hand experience with the clunky suspension. But I do remember reading a TSB or something Acura issued regarding this complaint where Acura "remedied" the problem by replacing the strut...I may be completely wrong on this... But from reading all the posts in above posted AZ thread link, it seems like the problem should be immediately noticeable in a quiet (no music, talking, etc) vehicle environment. For subbuzz, i think you may have the "clunky" suspension. Maybe its time to see a trustworthy dealer... Sorry for the lack of help

No mine doesn't have anything to do in reverse.

You'll hear it!

Mine is more noticeable over small bumps or manhole covers...

bushings most likely

get the energy suspension non-greaseables. about $20's. hell, if you wanna splurge, get the comptech (if you can find) or the progress rear sway bar.but the car may squeak a little

Had the car in for service, they at first told me it was normal, then when i picked it up that Acura was coming up with a fix or bulitin...

Anyone know if this bulitin has been published?

Thanks!
