Quote: Bumping this thread (plz don't ban me @Pair of TLs ) cuz I'm fairly certain I just fixed my flickering clock permanently.

The wedged piece of paper trick was a good diagnostic test, but not a solution. So I found this guy on the youtoobz who re-soldered the pins behind the connector.

Seems like a MUCH more permanent solution. I just did this on my lunch break and I'm 99.9999% certain it's going to work just like new again

This still working for you?? I will try it this weekend if so. I planned to buy a new one from OEMAP and I just got on last week and it is discontinued . Bought a used one on ebay for $70 (for the whole bezel and everything not just the screen) and it does the same thing (not very happy about that but at the same time, not surprising) so I want to do the "permanent" fix!

That youtuber is such a cocksucker.
@thoiboi did you catch the "hey johnny" at the beginning of the vid?
A bit over 20 months later and I can tell you guys...she's still going strong...so much so that I almost forgot I even had that issue when I got
the car back that last time for a THIRD time.
