I recently purchased an 04 TL.

First s little history.

The car was my brothers dsily driver until about a year ago. He left a hotel one morning smelled s little plastic burning pulled over and long story short his cool back melted.

Buddy of his who id a mechanic replaced it and the car
runs amazingly.

However the AC/NAV just stripped working. Had the error message to check the disk.

After reading posts here I replaced the DVD player (easy enough) thinking this would fix the problem.

NAV now works! Yay! However the Climate control still won’t work.

You push the buttons and it’s like they don’t exist at all. No response from touching them.

After reading some more posts on here I replaced the resistor Hoping this would fix the problem.

Still no response from the buttons.

Im afraid that when the coil melted it might have melted that particular wire in the harness?

but honestly I’m not a car guy.

So so here I am for help maybe some guidance.

Any insight eould be helpful.

 

What coil melted? Did you check any fuses?
