Clicking in the front

My B1 service schedule is due (is this just a LOF?) I wasn't going to take it to the a Acura dealer as I paid $90 bucks for LOF and rotation for the first service. Kinda think they should have given me some personal lube as well after the ass pounding my wallet took.

OK.. But last week I was backing out of my driveway, wheel turned almost if not all the way and I heard this clicking sound. I didn't think anything of it. A couple days ago, I turned into a tight parking spot and heard it again. Car only has 15k on it.

Any thoughts?

Does it do it when you sit still and turn the wheel from lock to lock or once the direction on the wheel changes direction for the first time?

click click click low speed, turning wheel, especially to full lock, is often CV joint/axle bearing
Is your car lowered? If not- its a warranty issue on CV failure
Hit any good potholes recently or curb shot- anything that may have damaged the assembly?

Learn to do your own oil changes and save big.

It's not a matter of learning to do my own oil changes... It is just not worth my time to save $20-$30 bucks. Somethings I just won't deal with.

Clicking happens once in a while when I first take off but the wheel doesn't have to be locked for it to happen.

Curbs no, but maybe a pot hole.

IMO Acura has axle issues, esp in the 6mt cars. I have had the front axles replaced twice in the last 3 months under warranty. In fact, one of them made it 2 weeks before it started clicking again. I have not hit anything either. I also don't dump the clutch, burn off the tires or do anything out of line. I simply drive it. To the OP, take it in and get it fixed, it will only get worse. Can also cause a vibration if it goes too long.

I have the same problem and will be taken my car into the dealer tomorrow. It happens when I turn my wheel from side to side not necessary lock to lock. I had busted CV joints on my previous cars but this sounds different. The sound reminds me of a small rock stuck in your tire tread hitting the ground. But like I said it only happens when I turn the steering wheel. It was brought to my attention a few months ago but now its bothering me. I have only 40, 000 miles on my 06 TL, with eibach lowering springs and 18 wheels.

Get it fixed!

I took the car in today for the clicking problem seems lik the rack-pinion was the issue. I'm so glad that it is under warranty since I only have another 20,000 miles to go before I would have had to pay outright. Wow, thats alot of cash flow. Take it in now and get it fixed.

I have seen the rack mounts on the subframe click.(Not the rack itself) Hope they diagnosed it right!
