Chrome Mold on Hood

Noticed some black rubber-like material sticking out from the chrome on the front.
What is it? Does anyone know if it can be cut off or pushed in.

its felt/rubber to keep the bar from chipping the paint.

Intersting you mention this. I was washing my car last weekend and noticed the same thing. I will have dealer replace during next visit.

Thanks, I'll have the dealer fix it when I visit themr to replace the back of the front passenger seat.

if you take it to the dealer, more than likely they will scratch something up trying to replace it....i have trimmed mine up a few times, but the rubber still keeps working its way out...its not a big deal
