Exclamation Check enigine, VSA, blinking drive

The other day I was driving down the road around 50 mph in my 04 AT (90k miles) when my Check engine light popped on, an exclamation point, blinking drive, as well as VSA. As I came to a stop the transmission jolted hard through each downshift. Once i made it to a parking lot the steering was whining like crazy too. I let it sit for an hour or so off. When I turned it back on only the check engine light came back on and I was able to drive it home ( about 20 miles ) with no problems.

My assumption is that it is the 3rd and 4th pressure switches, however I am hesitant to drive it anywhere to get the codes checked. This doesn't quite explain the loud steering though...(which had gone away after sitting) Does this sound like it could be the likely cause?
(I did a 3x3 a couple months ago)

I plan on changing them this week i just need to make sure I get the right parts. I believe these are the numbers

28610-RAY-003 <--3rd
28600-RAY-003 <--4th

90471-PW7-A00 <-- gaskets

28600-P7Z-003 <--3rd
28600-P7W-003 <-- 4th

Another post said it was these two, or does it matter?

Thank you

Your power steering could be the O-ring ($1 part) or the pump could be going bad. (a little bit more.)

As for the transmission issue - I'd pull the codes before I started buying and changing random stuff.

That whining was prolly the torque convertor, doubtful if your steering went out simultaneously. get the codes read at parts store and post.

Update

So i went ahead and changed out the pressure switches myself last night. Cleared up all of the codes and it is running much better. Shift quality from 2-3 and 3-4 improved significantly. 1-2 didn't improve a whole lot, but that was to be expected and it wasnt terrible to begin with. Hope this helps anyone else that comes along with this problem! ended up only costing me about $80.00.

Wow you are describing the two exact problems i had in the past 2 months. For the blinking D, Check Engine, VSA problem which made my car jerked really hard, all i had to do was to replace the Speed sensor(depending on which one goes bad because there's 2 of them). And second for the whining noise of the steering wheel whining noise, you need to replace the O-ring as suggested Roof2006.
