Check engine lights on

Hi,

i have the check engine lights on. The garage code reader says it's the Catalytic converter problem.
i unplugged the battery but the codes keeps coming back anyway after a few miles.
so i was thinking to remove the three catalytic converter of the car (illegal).
my question: is there any performance part out there i can use. and how to remove that code forever?
i want to change the exhaust system for a stanless steel from the header to the muffler...

thanks

if you dont live in cali, pm richiev6 and get his full bolt on package, which includes precat deletes,Jpipe;test pipe for a great price. Then pm excelerate and get a catback. tell them ssmtl2v sent you and you can work out a deal...

why dont you go to a muffler shop and have the exhaust tested??

They can tell you if you are having actual cat problems or a false code
Codes are NOT diagnosis- they are alerts---clues to their being a problem somewhere

Was this acura got the code out of the car for you or a parts store read it?
