Changing brake caliper????

I did some searching and just wanted to make sure I am going to be doing the right thing. As far as I can see all I need to do is remove the two brake caliper bolts and support the caliper. I plan on using hose clamp pliers to clamp the brake line. Then remove the bango bolt and put the new caliper on and put everything back together. Then bleed the brake lines. Sound good or does anyone have any more suggestions or input????

Make sure to put both of banjo bolt washers back on, one before, one after. It's easier to take the banjo bolt off first and put it on last. Everything else is as you say...

If you are going to change your calipers, I would just allow all the fluid to drain out of the system, instead of clamping the line. That way you have fresh fluid and while you are at it, put some stainless steel brake lines in. Also you should replace the washers completely, if not, it is possible to have a leak afterwards.

DO NOT USE ANY TYPE OF CLAMP ON BRAKE HOSES!!!!

The hoses are not meant to be compressed, but if a clamp is used the interior wall will collapse.
