CEL help. Using the blink method

Hi everyone I have 15 long flashes and 3 short ones. Would that indicate a P1503? I tried finding information on how to find it but found the method to pull the codes with a paperclip on another forum. Thanks!

I think everyone should get a CEL scanner for home use...they're really cheap these days (about $25-30) and it is very useful to get codes and clear them if it's a minor issue. Look on Amazon, they're pretty cheap there. Trying to do it with a flash method seems tedious and possible inaccurate.

I do have one, its a Innova 3020, but for some reason its giving me "error" code every time I try to read it which is why I have to resort to the paperclip method.

Edit: I guess I am using the flash method, which is 15 long flashes, and 3 short ones. Indicates P1503 right?

As erdoc said, everyone should have an obd2 reader. Get an obd2 Bluetooth adapter that connects with windows/android. Mine costed $15 off amazon and another $5 if you wanna pay for the Torque Pro app. It reports everything the ECU has..from sensors to fault codes. You can clear the codes too with it. Also insanely easy to setup, took less than a minute.

code 15: Ignition Output Signal - Open or Shorted out ignition signal circuit / No Signal to ECU

Code 03: Map sensor circuit - Oxygen sensor or circuit, ECU

possibly a bad o2 sensor.

but yeah, CEL code readers would be a better bet in accurately diagnosing.
