CD Player Stopped Working
CD Player Stopped Working
So my cd player stopped working a few days ago. I talked to Acura's service department and they said they didn't know. Thats understandable unless they had looked at my car. Anyway I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen and how did they fix it? I pulled the hu out and unplugged the wiring harnesses and plugged them back in. That didn't work so now I think I might have to take it into Acura. I wish I could just replace it with an aftermarket hu!!! Any help at all would be great!!!! Thanks
Also it wont eject my cds. When I hit eject all it does is flash the word EJECT for 30 sec. I had a dice ipod adapter in there and uninstalled it but still have this problem.

Did you uninstall the connector too?
My CD player recently failed. It got real picky as to which CDs it would play over a 2-3 month span. Finally quit working and the radio would only respond to the touch screen and steering wheel controls. Finally the radio went out too.
If it turns out the be a bad CD player, you can get a brand new one for about $300 shipped to your door. I can't remember the name of the company right now but I can find it if you need it. Acura wants around $1,400 for this thing.

save the trouble and just get an ipod integration kit ( assuming you own an ipod
). No one uses cd's now-a-days anyway.
My cd player failed few years ago and they said the exact same thing. Ship it out to get repaired and could cost up to $500.. Instead i got an iSimple from best buy for about ~$150, installed it and called it a day. Much better than cd

Read my post above, a brand new factory player is just under $300 shipped to your door. Besides, sometimes when the CD player fails, the radio is right behind it, that's how mine failed.
