hey everyone, i have an '08, tried starting it up this morning and nothing is happening, horn is dead, tried opening up the doors with remote and its not opening, someone tried giving me a jump start and still nothing.. i got a new battery from Honda back in Nov. can anyone shed some light.

try looking at the battery itself.
are the cables corroded? are the cables firmly attached?
if corrosion has built up,disconnect them and clean them. then reattach them to the battery.

thx! i will try that.. everything is firmly attached and it looks clean, no corrosion at all and i bought a new battery from Honda back in November.

There's a decent chance that your new battery is completely drained and dead due to a bad HFL/Bluetooth unit not turning off within 30 minutes of the ignition being turned off.

Check the battery, or call AAA if you're a member, or a tow service (roadside service is sometimes included on auto insurance) to do a jump start. If the battery is dead or the car starts, chances are that there is a drain on the battery when the car is off.

Also check the negative cable ground for tightness and the positive cable about a foot behind the clamp for swelling or corrosion under the sheathing while you're waiting for a jump/tow.

Not to thread jack but my problems are along the same lines.

If I let my car sit for more then 10 days it won't start on the first try.
I can open it with the fob and when I turn the key on, everything works including the horn. However, when I try to start it, all the lights go out and I get nothing.The horn also stops working.

I leave it for about 2 mins and suddenly everything lights up and it starts on the first try.

FWIW I also disconnect my battery when I know I won't be driving for awhile.
