Car slow as sh*t when warm

title is self explanatory, seems that i can only do a burnout or make the tires screech when the cars cold, but after its warm it will not do any sort of screeching. told the dealer many times that i thought my car was running bad when warm they insisted everything was fine. any ideas

~ and also as im in a hurricane right now lmao, u think my plastidip will hold up?

*edit* with VSA off

In colder weather most vehicle will perform better due to the lack of condition called "Heat soak"

Plasti-dip wheels, grill, ect ect is tacky imo, just redo it and regardless winter is rolling up it's not a forever thing.

Try upgrading installing a CAI and a TB coolant bypass to help with heat soaking issues and take it a step higher Thermo gaskets and ported intake runners.

At the end of the day TL is still slow, unless your doing serious work.

Stay classy New York.

I've gone and sprayed my plasti dipped grille point blank with a pressure washer at those coin op car washes with no problems.

Unless you get massive amounts of debris flying in the air you'll be fine.

Since when do you judge your car being fast or slow based on being able to do a burnout? Crazy I say

There is another thread here that points to the battery being the source of the power loss during temps above 25c.

IAT and intake get heat soaked, which leads it to cut timing. A CAI doesn't add much power but will keep it from losing as much once warmed up. Also PlastiDip FTW screw the haters lol. I'm gonna do my whole car in the spring.

I wouldn't go overboard with the plastidip, but when applied just right it adds to the over all style.

You could make your own vented heat extractor hood like me

Not done yet but I will post up a DIY when it's finished. Still need to finish the extractor part. Right now it's just a vent.

I'm thinking the whole heat soak thing is not the battery but the notorious leaky EVAP Canister Purge Valve.

The tires will screech or chirp more when it's cold because the tires are cold and they have less "grippyness." So yes, your car is fine.

Reset your ecu. I couldn't tell you how to do it, since my TL-S is 6MT, but there are threads on here about it.
