Car Losing Power When Not Started for 24 Hours

Hey guys. I've been having this issue where whenever I haven't driven my car for about a day (or even for about 15-20 hours), I start my car only to notice: it needs the radio code, all the trip calculators reset to zero, and the clock is at a different time. The car starts up fine, although it did seem to struggle (a tiny bit) to start once this season. I would also like to note that I have a Compustar Remote Starter that doesn't work when the car is in this state. I'd have to manually unlock the doors with my key and start it. However, say I have driven the car and want to drive it again in a couple hours or so, it will remote start just fine and no issues with all the trip monitors and clock.

Replacements Done:
2019 - Alternator + New Battery
2020 - Starter + New Ground Wire for Battery

My assumption is the battery has gone bad and cannot hold power? But then again, it starts up just fine. Any insight is appreciated!

As a general rule, the ground wire for the battery doesn't typically go bad, but the positive battery cable is another story entirely; that can "look good" and are frequently bad. New battery cables from Acura can be had for under $50.

Sounds like you have a parasitic draw, could be that remote starter, could be HFL, could be an A/C relay. The former which is your own down, but the latter two are common culprits on our cars. I'd start by removing the starter to see if that is causing that parasitic draw and then look into unplugging the other two one by one.

So you are telling us that it will start every time you try, just that the electronics are reset correct? This in theory would not be the parasitic draw or battery issue.....this seems to be more about a bad connection, cable, or ground that is cutting power to systems. The fact that the car starts every time really makes me think there is a shared ground somewhere that has issues.

i had that problem, it was my bluetooth handsfree module, If you havent nailed this already it is simple to tell. just start your car and drive it. go on handsfree and make a call to your wife or buddy, shut off the car while still talking on the phone to your friend etc, then hang up the call within a minute or so, get out of the car and go in the house, If you come out in the garage in 2 hours and get in the car ad put your palm of your hand up onto the flat part of the headliner but forward into the center ceiling console area foreward of the 2 push in lights that last little flat plastic area in the center before the windshield if that is hot/ to warm somewhere 2 hours after you shut off your car that means the handsfree module just wont click off. it ruins the battery. it is very common to do this. if it is hot you must put a very small flat screwdriver into the crevice at the very nearest point of this upper headliner console and carefully pop it open, snap off the green connection and pull the piece forward. take a 5/16 small ratchet and loosen the 4 bolts holding the larger tray that is revealed when you pop that first one out take that down a little and the small cover piece that is fully forward toward the windshield that has a clip and pigtail of wires, you must either disconnect this and button things up or you must replace the module that is under the 3 screws under that cover and then button things up. they are 89$ and on ebay. good luck you are on your own. I am not responsible, just trying to help
