Remote start not working

I've had my 2015 RLX for about 2 years, but over the last 4 months or so the remote start button has become less and less reliable. Initially it would take a few extra pushes on occasion before the car would start, but lately it can take over 10 tries. The car goes into 'accessory' and 'on' mode every time on the first push, but it is the starting of the car that often takes 10+ pushes. I replaced the batteries in both remotes, but it hasn't helped. I've done some searching but haven't found a definitive solution; a lot of speculation about various fuses, ground connections, and the starter. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience, or has any ideas based on the issue I've described.

Between this, the jumpy transmission (which I now have to flush every time I change my oil), and the lack of a spare that left me stranded a few weeks ago, I'm beginning to really dislike this car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe battery in the car, power to the receiving end?

I appreciate the suggestion, but I changed the battery about a year ago.

I wonder if re-calibration could help, also most sites point to hood pin switches or sensors, maybe in the case of Ack, they use those too and could be an issue. I'm curious, I'd like a remote starter too.
