Car Dies while driving and no steering control.
My car died several times on me while driving on a highway. I was at driving normally when I had no power left and steering started to go out. I pull over try to start the car back up and after a while it finally started. I was not far away from my destination so thats why I kept going, and it died several times on the way. It takes forever for it to turn back on.
This happened to my wife previously in this car, we took it to Acura, they checked it and said we might have gotten some bad gas.
Anyone have any thoughts, we are 100 miles away from home and the dealerships are closed tommorow. I checked the battery posts and there seems to be a little corrosion on one so I will try to clean that up in the morning. Any thoughts?

Review the VIN number in TSB Safety Recall: Fuse Box May Cause a No-Start or Stalling Condition to see if your TL is in the recall.

Well, for what it's worth, I had a 93 Ford Taurus SHO and belonged to the SHO Registry, many moons ago... Anyway, years ago in one of the SHO Registry issues, one guy told a story about how his car just died, no power, no electric, no nothing in the middle of an attempt to pass a truck on a one lane road... Scared the hell out of him... Turns out he had a bad crank shaft sensor..
OK, it is a Ford, but had a Yamaha motor....
Hope you find the cause and it's as "simple" as the fuse box

Same thing happened to me, I have 3K miles on my new 06 acura TL. I was driving down a main street and my car turned off... my audio and tunes were still playinga nd i was still listening to music and my steering wheel had locked up almost and it freaked me out kinda.. This might possibly be my problem, but it was the first time it happend and it only happened once.

I may be wrong because I don't know much about Acura cars, but even if your car dies while driving, I don't thing your wheel will lock up. You might lose power steering, which might make it seem like your wheel locked up. As long as the key is in the "on" position the wheel should be free. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
