Car ALMOST didn't start this morning
My 04' TL 6mt, with 36,XXX miles on it almost failed to start. It was 12 degrees, battery was replaced this summer and has never even hesitated to start before. I cranked it over and realized it wasn't going to go. I pressed the throttle pedal down (I know it's not the thing to do with FI), and it almost started, then after about 15 seconds it finally started. I had no issues after this the rest of the day. It was cold and kind of damp out (light frost on the windshield), could the plugs have been damp or something? I just got the car back from the shop yesterday, I really don't want to go back, since its a 1.5 hour drive. Hopefully a one time thing.

I doubt pushing the accelerator will do anything at startup as it is Drive By wire, there is not cable and there probably is a computer limiting fuel and such at start-up. Check the voltage on the battery, if the battery is an acura one, it sucks ass. These things don't last at all. You need atleast 550 CCA's to start the TL.

I know that it's DBW, but it did change tone and it sputtered when I pressed the throttle. I think it may have made a difference, thought I don't know for sure. It's not an Acura battery, those things definately suck ass. We'll see how it goes this morning, hopefully just a one time thing.
