This is a bad karma day. In the morning the Post Office lost a certified letter that was supposed to be delivered to me today, then a bee flew into my boot to sting my leg, and when I got home and tried to open my trunk, I discovered I can't open it.

Neither the release button in the car or the key fob works. I moved the glove compartment button up and down to make sure it was in position, and the trunk still won't open. When I press the key fob button, I can hear a little click like it's trying to open, but it doesn't budge. I tried lifting it open as I pushed the button but that didn't work. Does anyone have any advice?

 

Problem solved!

Something in the trunk was jammed up against the latch inside. I opened the passthrough, and inside on top there's a loop you can pull to manually release the trunk lock. Voila!
