Calibrating MID - Estimated Miles Left / AVG MPG
Not aware of any calibration. On my '05, the MID was pretty accurate overall.
Keep in mind the estimated miles left is based on what your recent MPG is. So if you are cruising down the highway at 65mph for 2 hours, the MID will tell you 60 miles left when you have about 2 gallons of fuel. Get off the highway and sit in traffic for a few minutes and it will go down really quick since your MPG goes down in stop and go traffic.

In 2007 model there is one setting that can impact the mentioned calculation - if the wheels (tires, rims) size are different than OEM, you can set the % difference. I assume this setting is for MID accuracy.
If you drive 22 miles over the course of 2-1/2 hrs you will average 8 MPH and if you use 2 gallons of gas during that time, you'll get about 11 MPG.
Why do you think it needs calibration? (Hint: It doesn't)
Your mileage depends on your driving habits.

i did leave my car running without driving for 1 hour to 2 hour, in my garage to make sure everything was fine after servicing my vehicle, could that be it?

your car consumes gasoline when the engine is running (idle or not)

Yes, it's using fuel and going nowhere. Car is still metering the fuel used!
