buzz when turning ignition key??

Anyone with a 2004 TL ever hear this?
The sound of what I can only describe as a mechanical insect 'buzz', when turning from OFF position through to starter activation. From inside the steering wheel housing.

Its irregular. I sometimes can recreate the sound TURNING SLLOOOOOOWWLY from OFF to BATT, most times its just so periodic I forget about it until it happens again.
It doesnt sound like arching, almost sounds like a module in a cellphone or a gaming controller that causes the vibration

Odd, but should I be worried or anyone else experienced and know what it is?

More than likely its the steering switch causing the noise you're hearing. Part # 35130-SAA-J51

Second that. I had a similar issue where the start relay would buzz and occasionally car wouldn’t start. It was the ignition switch.

Have you experienced this and it led to something, if what then what? Steering column fire? (sorta sarcasm)

Not to be a bit tired of fixing things all the time but "turning the key as fast as possible" and avoiding the buzz, is what Im hoping to hear, LOL
Got the wheelwell fender lining, HID bulb replace (HORRIFIC BLOODY HASSLE JUST TO REPLACE A BULB! TAKE FRONT QUARTER OF CAR OFF TO DO IT??), and forgot what else... after last years front end fixing in the dead of winter after that deer humped the front of my car at 110 kmph, kinda want to go back to hobbies I used to enjoy instead LOL

My post from an old thread about this issue:

+1 for Ignition switch - the buzzing is the start path relay that as stated above is not getting enough voltage to stay up so it oscillates back an forth. Replacing the ignition switch cost me $28 (Beck Arnley part form Rock Auto) exact match and probably an OEM manufacturer anyway...

The procedure is mentioned elsewhere as well:
Disconnect Battery
Remove three phillips screws on bottom of steering wheel cover.
Press in along on the top part of the cover seam to split it open and remove
Remove plug to ignition switch
Remove two phillips screws to switch
Slide out old and slide in new switch.
Reverse order to finish up.

I opened up the old switch - the copper contact surface looked suspect...
