Brown Swirls on Side Mirrors

Hey,

I bought my TL a couple weeks ago with brown swirls that cannot be wiped off.

I heard it's from the heated mirrors.

Passenger Side:

The driver's side is worst:

Yes, I know I have a horrible camera.

I was just wondering what the cheapest method of replacing or fixing this issue is.

Also if I do purchase new OEM mirrors, what could I do to prevent this from happening?

That's how I heard that the problem is caused by the heated mirrors.

What I'm wondering is, why are the heated mirrors doing this, and what should I do to stop it from happening.
I'm not sure you read this part:

Just get the No.2-6 From http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no

it will last around 4-5 years so Add 50 $ to your maintenance every 4 years :P

If your car is still under warranty, extended warranty, or CPO, Acura will fix it for free. If not, if you bought the car from a dealer you could try to get them to pay for it. It's a known issue. I haven't seen any indication that the replacement mirrors are any less susceptible to heat damage.

Since there is no auto off on the mirror switch, you just have to remember to turn them off after they are defrosted. Or avoid using it at all.

Thanks guys.
I'll contact my local Acura dealer and ask them how much it costs to replace the mirrors.
