Broken center console

I just noticed my center console that slides is broken...only the piece that you grip is visable....is there any way i can take apart the console without messing it up and retrive the rest of the slider to glue it back together? i really don't want to buy a whole new console

If you run a search you'll find some other threads about fixing that sliding cover, I seem to remember one from not too long ago, but its very easy to take the center console appart to get that cover out. There is step by step Instructions in the garage if you need them.

Are you talking about the sliding armrest or the cupholder cover?

The armrest is easy to remove and take apart-- just a bunch of phillips-head screws.

The cupholder cover is a pain in the rear and requires removing the aluminum trim strips, etc.: see https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/broken-cup-holder-cover-732296/.
My solution (still holding) is in post #46, if you can pull out the rest of the cover.

The cover can be purchased with the cupholders as a unit for @ $60 if you're going to replace it.
