so what you're looking for is a pad for the two front brakes.
you have lots of options here, and there have been plenty a thread explaining those choices.

swing by your local autozone and pick up the cmax's.
or you can go online to a vendor on here.
excelerate and heeltoe come to mind.

you're going to have to research on your own to find the cheapest price.

So are you saying I only need the pads that are inside? Not the whole caliper assembly? The pads are replaceable ?

Not trying to knock you, as we are all ignorant to something or other. I was going to suggest that pad changing on the Brembo's is very easy, but if you weren't aware they could be changed, I would recommend you pay someone or get some help.

Cmax Gold from autozone...lifetime warranty on them INCLUDING wear, so every 20K miles just stop in and pick up a new set. They are ceramic and also dust a lot less than the stock pads.

as you can see the pad sits inside of the caliper, and when you press on the brakes the pads squeeze the rotor.

pads.

This is what I installed on my '04 manual TL.

Perhaps around 90% less dust than the OEM pads with excellent life. Do keep in mind that virtually any of the low-dusting pads are going to have a slight drop in braking efficiency when compared to the stock pads.

This.

If you don't know what you're doing with all of this, DON'T do it unless you learn what you need to know. Pay a shop you trust to do the work until you have learned what is involved. You do NOT want to trust your life to a brake job that was not performed correctly.

for normal driving, the ceramic pads still do the job.

^^^that is ABSOLUTELY true. But having that nasty dust all over the wheels 2 days after washing...was worth it to me. If you track your car, I would stick with the brembo pads...but otherwise, these stop just fine.

Is that price for both pads? Or just one?

Rockstar is right on the money on both points. I have these same pads on my car and they are great. I recommend them as well.

A set consists of four pads, two for each axle. These are for the front only. You always replace pads as a set... both front and/or both rear, never individually or for just one axle.

I got stoptech pads. They dust slightly less than the brembo replacement pads. And they bite 20-30% harder.

With these I had to do the break in procedure twice to get them to stop squeeking. But after that they have turned out to be really quiet pads with a hard bite.

OP- In case you didn't know. ALL new brake pads need to be broken in. It is done to distribute the pad material evenly on the rotor. This greatly improves the braking capability of your pads. The procedure is as follows...

Make sure your in an area where you don't really have to stop. Like in the country.

1)Accelerate to 40mph and slam on the brakes as hard as you can without locking them up until you get between 10-5mph. Without stopping repeat the accelaration to 40mph and braking to @ 10mph six or seven times back to back.

You will smell the brakes cooking. This is good. Also the brakes will become less and less effective each time you accelerate and slam on the brakes. This is normal. This is called brake fade. It happens when the brakes over heat. But overheating the brakes for the break in procedures is what you want to do. So it's ok.

After step #1 drive your car around for 10-15 minutes without using your brakes too much or not at all. Just cruise around. To cool of the brakes. After this do step #2.

2)Accelerate to 65mph and slam on your brakes until you get to 10mph. Repeat 6 times. Then go home.

Your brakes will be smoking and smelling like burnt metal when you get home. That's ok. By this point your pad material should be evenly distributed on the rotor and your brakes won't squeek any more and you'll get the best results from them.

You can see why I said to do this out in the country. All that starting and stopping will only piss off other drivers. And you need to be able to cruise around.

I got the same pads and they definitely grab hard! They dust way less than the oem brembo blanks but I'm not willing to pay $150+ for the brembos!! Excellerate sells the stoptechs for $75 so they are worth a try.

And heres a link on how to bed in the brakes.

....
That's a good price for OE pads. Best I found on-line was ~$165 shipped.

This is virtually the exact procedure I used when I did my first pad replacement on my '04 manual TL. In fact, I think I used this same link but I am not certain. Anyway, it does work as described and results in brakes which do what they are suppose to do in the occasional extreme situation... stop the car.

With the Cmax Golds, still use the original shims on the stock pads?

You can but you don't have to. However it is probably a good idea to go ahead and use them. (I assume you mean the shims from the stock pads)

I THINK I transferred mine over too...
I get a mild squeal when backing and braking lightly...other than that, perfect.

^when cold, backing out and hitting the brakes gives an annoying squeal.
but i only back out of the garage once during a trip, so it doesnt really bother me.
also, if I reverse into the garage, and drive out forward, no squeaking!
