brembo brake dust

Has anyone found brake pads to stop this horrible black dust problem? I have to wipe my wheels down every day to keep them clean! I use wheel wax and it makes cleaning them easier but this is the worst brake dust problem I have ever had!

It's the Brembo pad material. It's happened to every EVO, STi, BMW...etc.

Stock wheels ? What kind of driving do you do? I'm mainly highway and I can easily get a week or two depending on the weather before the dust gets that bad. Sure, the dust builds up and gradually "dulls" the look but it's not like they get that "black" or anything. And if it rains then yes, it's a pretty big mess.

When you say "wipe" I'd be careful given the seriously abrasive nature of brake dust. In the long run you may be being nicer to the finish of your wheels by washing them weekly rather than dry wiping them daily.

I think others have used Hawke pads. But I think some also later switched back the the OEM. Search and you will find.

You can discs that protect the dust from flying onto the rim. Its like a plastic shield that goes on the inside of the rim and it really helps.
Let me know if you need to know any more, Ive got these on my TL and hardly have to clean them.

do you have a pic? i think i know what you're talking about...doesn't it make it look ghetto? hehe...plus like your brakes need the spokes in order to breathe...i think it would be bad IMO

Brake Dust SUCKS!! I wipe my front wheels every few days but it's sure a dirty job. I haven't noticed any scratching of the wheels, but I use a Michelin Anti-Dust spray that makes the dust just wipe away without using hardly any pressure. If they get wet...forget it....you've got to wash the whole wheel to remove the crud.
