I installed stoptech street performance brake pads along with centric premium rotors on for my front brembo brakes. I used CRC brake disc quiet to apply on the pistons, the top and bottom metal pieces inside the caliper, and the back of the brake pad shims. Now my brake squeals when they are cold but after driving for about 5 minutes, they no longer squeal.

Prior to the new brake pad install, I had the same problem with rotora ceramic brake pads and stoptech slotted/drilled rotors. But the squeal was much worse than the new setup.

Same thing happens on my '04 6MT. I also used CRC, bedded in the brakes properly and they still squeal. It mainly happens on cold mornings and when I put the car in reverse. Within a minute, once they are heated up, the squealing stops. I have taken out the brake pads twice to relube everything, once with CRC and once with the oil you find in the little packets at Napa or Autozone. I made sure to get every piece of metal, the backs of the pads, the pins on the calipers and the pistons....still squeal in the morning.

 

I hope this isn't a defect in the brembo calipers itself... Its an issue I've been having since I owned the car with only 22K miles.

 

I had this happen on my drilled rotors. I stuck with blanks ever since. CRC brake quiet is supposed to be for the back of the pad. It's a sticky compound and not meant as a lube. Synthetic caliper grease would be needed.
