Brake Pad Wear on 08 TL-S?

So I checked my brake pads last weekend - just the front passenger side.

Well I noticed that the "inner" pad (pad closest to engine) is wearing down faster than the "outer" pad. Close to 50% faster.

Is this normal or is something wrong?

That is unusual for a fixed caliper. Did you pull the pads or just eyeball them?

The reason I asked is that a while ago a fellow thought his pads were wearing faster at the bottom, had the dealer look at the car and they were fine after they pulled them out as he wasn't seeing the true picture. Just a thought, pull to be certain as they come out easily and with the 4 piston, and an '08 it would be very unusual for the inners to be that much different than the outers..

do yourself a favor and replace the brembo pads with something else...

if i knew what i know now, i would have driven my type s off the showroom floor and right to my garage and put duralast cmax gold ceramics on...

i now have clean wheels after a week without cleaning the car!!!

I drive my 06 MT like a type s and got around 15k miles on the brembo pads and more dust than I could handle. They do stop on a dime but the duralast pads are pretty good at stopping and are almost dust free compared to the OEMS. So far it looks like they'll last 25-30k and are covered by a lifetime warranty. I am sold on that value!
