I have a 2005 TL with about 8000 miles on it. I noticed thta the brakes are squeeling when I am slowing to a stop. Is this normal?

 

see my recently posted thread. i have the same thing at 6500 miles, but it doesnt seem to be a problem, just minor annoyance. im not going to worry about mine.

do yours get quiet after they are heated up? after a while mine stop, i assume due to being heated up.

 

Is this a 6speed TL? If so, there is a TSB about the brembo brakes squeling. If you take it into the dealership, they should replace the pads with a new brembo designed pad with no problems.

 

Mine is an AT and is squeaking just like he is saying.

 

Either way, i would take it in. The dealer should not have a problem

take it to the dealer. I had the same problem upon reaching 13000 miles. dealer replaced it with "updated pads" for free. i think they have a TSB for the AT.

 

Mine is an automatic tranny. The squeeling is not bad however, I dont think it should happen on a new car. Is there definatelhy a TSB for the AT?
