Brake dust ????

I noticed not too long after buying this car that the brake dust tends to build up quickly on the fronts. Well i just put on Axis Hiro (silver) and now i can really see how bad the brake dust is. Any type of pad recomendation for less brake dust? Ceramic pads maybe? Which brand?

Ceramics definitely.. I have Duralast Gold (autozone) Ceramics on the car.. hardly any dust and it wears evenly.. I drove about 3k miles before cleaning off the wheels.. they were dirty but not bad or thick.

I've heard great things about the Duralast Gold ceramic pads. I believe they have a life time warranty as well and a good price.

That's what I really like about them.. It still looks like I have at least 90% pad life.. When they wear out.. return them for new pads free. Performance is as good / maybe better than the OE pads. I really feel them bite after a good bedding.

I've notice after my 1st front brake pads change, the ceramic are better than Brembo's pad, less brake dust and work like a charm and cost less...

Look for a sticky thread.. there's a few threads on changing the brembo pads and it should be fairly easy. The stock calipers will require 10 & 14mm ratchets I believe.. and channelocks or some other method to push in the piston. Changing brake pads is quick & painless.

You won't be disappointed with the change. Trust me...I can go a week without noticeable dust now...with the OE ones after as day or two it was pretty bad!

Next time I'd like to try Duralast Gold Cmax...

Don't want to spend too much as long as they do the job well...

I installed a set of Rotex Gold Kevlars three years ago on my '04 manual to escape the prolific dusting. Dusting decreased approximately 80-90%. Since I also own an '05 automatic, it's easy for me to compare the two. And my '04 has no more dusting than my '05. And the very small amount of dusting you get is not black.
