when my wife got home last night and shut off the car the cooling fans were running went in the house and came out an hour later and the fans were still running and the engine was cool. I disconnected the battery and this morning put the cable back on and both fans started running. What is the most likely problem? Possibly bad condenser fan and cooling fan relays?

I've noticed a somewhat similar issue. Occasionally when I turn the car off the fans continue to run for about 5-10 minutes before turning off. However, if I start the car on and off, on and off, turn the key really hard, jiggle it around a bit, etc. the fans will turn off properly.

In my case it seems like a faulty ignition switch mechanism, but I'm not certain.
