Bleeding brakes

Can someone explain to me why the bleed procedure is different from the traditional furthest to the closest of the master cylinder logic? I tried this method making three rounds with a Motive power bleeder and my brake pedal is limp. It'll eventually firm up with a few pumps when parked but even leaving the driveway is impossible. I wanna make sure I have this order right before I waste another two quarts of expensive brake fluid. Thanks in advance.

Don't believe it makes much difference which is bled first.
Some people say farthest first, some say closest first, same a manufacturer's recommendations, some recommend closest, some farthest.

I may have egg on my face with this one. I didn't realize you had to bleed both nipples on the brembos, that little snippet was hidden in the archives with a service manual scan. I'll try again and report.

The far away from the master cylinder is the one that you have to bleed first.
