The best, worst, luck today.

Interesting couple days. Passenger seat heat coils went out. On my way to the dealership I began to smell a coil/burnt wire smell. My ass got SUPER hot then nothing. Apparently mine went out too! As I was ordering the new pads my buddy commented "At least the driver side seat back is still good...............right?" Hell I didn't even know it was an option since it never worked for me. I count myself SUPER lucky they went out the same day and I discovered the driver seat back as well. I ordered all 3 and they will be in Wednesday.

Awesome sauce.

Apparently this is pretty common and kind of a crappy design flaw. I can stand to pay 275.00 every 130k miles though. Still love this car.

Sorry that happened, but glad you got it all figured out at the same time.

I don't think I would label it as "pretty common" though... It happens, but haven't seen a huge number of these issue IMO...

I will make a thread of the DIY swap for sure. The guys at the dealership Said the coil runs right on a crease that consistently bends thus breaking the connection over time. We will get them swapped out, and vacuum under those seats! Lord knows what treasure is under those things.
