Best touch up paint solution

Hi guys. I have a Silver TL-S with some minor scratches on the door and a couple on the rear bumper. I did a search and read thru some threads--it seems to me that the simplest/cheapest way was to get the touch up paint from the dealer (along with clear coat). Is this still the best way ? Is there a better option besides getting the paint from the dealer ? (I read this in the TSX section from 2005--hence me asking if theres something better now)
I know some guys would get their whole door painted but its not worth it to me as little chips happen way too frequently for that to be cost effective.

I paint for a living and your best option is to go to a body shop and ask for a bottle of unreduced touch -up for your car. Most shops will give it to you free, I do. Good luck.

Thumbs up

The one I use (thanks to my frequent road trips) is:

http://www.paintscratch.com/

Go in there, input your paint codes, and you'll have a choice of how much of the paint you want and everything else you'll need. Much better than buying from the stealership, IMO.

I don't know if this is your exact same color code, but I just purchased this for my moms 2007 Alabaster Silver Metallic V6 Honda Accord SE

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Hond...8#ht_500wt_922

I also have one in Nighthawk Black Pearl for my 08 TL. It's a all-in-1 pen, no need for clear coat. Well I always use just the pen to touch up the paint on my car, and never apply any clearcoat afterwards.

You can purchase touch up paint from the dealer. This is for a 08 NBP http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no

If you have small rock chips, try the Langka kit. If you have "rash", try the DrColorChip kit. For larger rock chips, fill in with factory touchup paint, then coats of clear coat until it dries higher than the surrounding surface, then carefully 2000# down and polish with Maguires Swirl Mark Remover.
Actually, only do the color sanding if you have prior experience.

This will not work with metallic. If it were a solid color you could add some clear to unreduced base and touch-up then sand smooth. Again, just go to a body shop and ask for some unreduced base.
