battery issue, is this normal?
Some background info: 2006 model almost 2 years old with 30k miles, daily drive to/from work 25 miles round way, in so cal.
Recently I've noticed that the car does not start easily. I could hear it losing the starting power a handful of times in the past 2-3 weeks. My nightmare finally came true last night when it died out on me after I picked up my dinner.
This morning I was able to start up the car, but again I hear it almost died.
My question is, will it get better or is there definitely something wrong that I need to bring it for checkup? If I bring it in would it be under warranty, even if the battery dies and I need a replacement?

Just replaced my battery last week. Had a similar situation. Acura of Ramsey tested it and came up with 334CCA versus the 550 it's supposed to be. The dealers are giving full warranty coverage on batteries for 2005's and up. Half warranty on 2004's. They wanted $75 with labor to replace it so I went to Walmart and got an Everstart Maxx-24FN, the battery rated A Best Buy in Consumer Reports for Group 24F. $72 + tax with trade-in. 875 Cranking amps, 700 Cold Cranking Amps.
I figured I'd be better off replacing it now rather than waiting for it to die in the upcoming cold Winter weather.

Replaced mine too.
I was washing my car one day and had the car on while listening to my ipod. When I was finish, I tried to crank it up, but it didn't even start. Aura replaced my battery for free.
Acura FTW

My 2006 was bought in Dec of 05. Just replaced the stock battery with an Optima red top. The cranking has been getting weaker for the last 4 months and it has less than 5 min reserve time with the radio volume low. Decided to replace it before it leaves me stranded.
One weird benefit is that the alarm has much more range now. I was going to replace the battery in the remote because the range had gotten so bad but it's back to normal with the new car battery. I should add that it hasn't lost the memory for the seats yet which it did pretty often before.

I got my '05 TL back in Oct. of '05 and I had to get the battery replaced the beginning of the because it wouldn't start. It's definitely a warranty from what I have heard from the dealership here in Mobile, AL. Hopefully I don't have to get it replaced again in another year like the other one had to be replaced.

Mine died on my '05 with 18k miles on it. I was going to get a free one but instead just bought a new one since I didn't want the hassle of the new one dying in a year again like this one since the replacement ones are the same as the factory installed junk.

I had the same problem
My '06 has 9,250 miles on it. The battery gradually lost power until I was afraid it would not start the next time. Took it to the dealer, and they replaced the battery under warranty. There was no indicator light fromn the charging system.
