I have an 07 Type-S with a factory back up camera. Today as I backed out of the driveway it did not come on. Where is the fuse located for this device? Is this a common failure item. Car is out of warranty so it's on me to fix.

 

I have the same car and the same issue as of 2 days ago. Any help would be awesome!

Some goggling has lead me to believe this is not an uncommon issue. That said the camera takes so long to display a picture after you start the car, most of the time you are out of reverse and on your way before it displays anything. (as much use as a chocolate coffee pot)

 

It should come on after a few seconds after the Acura Navigation image is displayed. The navi takes a little bit of time to boot up thus the delay. My MDX does the same thing.

 

sometimes my backup camera doesn’t even come on at all.. its as if the screen freezes. Same with the NAVI, at one point i looked down and the icon was still in front of my house and i was over 20 miles away. Of course you cant get the same symptoms to occur when your in front of the service manager at the dealership FML..
