Question Automatic door lock problem

Ok, so I've had this car for a few months now and I remember the doors automatically locking when I shift out of park, and then automatically unlocking when I shift back into park. As of today, the doors don't automatically lock and unlock like this.

Another problem which may be related is that I (kind of) remember that all 4 doors unlock with 1 click of the unlock button on the key fob. Now I have to hit the unlock button 2x for the rear doors to unlock.

I checked the door lock fuse in the passenger compartment and it was still good. Any idea what may cause this problem?

In the Memory settings on the Key Fob there is a setting for lock on close lock on shift from park. I don't remember exactly but check your Mem 1 or Mem 2 settings..... Good Luck

YUPPER!!! If you check the Garage section, they have the soft copy of every year Acura Owners Manual.... It has a section on programming your Key Fobs and setting up the MEM 1 and 2 defaults.... enjoy!

Thanks nicourt!

I tried going into that menu through the MID but it said something like "key isn't linked"... so back to the online manual again... found out that my key fob wasn't set to the memory setting so I pressed unlock & lock at the same time to turn this back on.

Come to think about it, I took the battery out to see what part # I needed so that I could buy a spare. This may have been what caused all this.
