ATLP Quad tips starting to show some rust

I just noticed there are small areas of rust starting to form on the tips of my quads. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

Could possibly powdercoat the tips? Would kind of suck to lose the ATLP label though unless they can cover it somehow.

You sure its rust or exhaust residue buildup? Try NevrDull to clean them then clean them more often.

^ agree with the polish... by the way, since you live in the BAY, you should consider polishing & cleaning more often than us inland folks... that saltwater fog can do some crazy shite!

if the tips are made out of stainless then they should not rust. Stainless does not rust.

Not quite, nor that simple. There's many different grades of stainless steel. There's many different environment conditions. Some stainless steel grades will develop corrosion over time under certain conditions.

Yes. You need to maintain the metal surface. I'm sure they used a stainless that's cost efficient, and typical for auto exhausts, which could develop surface rust over time when exposed to the surrounding elements. Also consider salty roads can do a number on metal.
