Sorry for the long story,
So today i was driving my car as usual, just listening to the radio, all of a sudden I hear a pop from the speakers, next thing i noe, theres no more sound coming from the speaker. the radio turned off itself, i tried turning it bak on, it wouldnt work, I press the audio button, and the radio turns back on, wit the stations showing on the dash, but there still isnt any sound coming out of the speaker. I press the cd button, xm button, the preset radio station button (#1-6), and the silver knob to turn the radio on and off, but non of the buttons respond. I pull over, shut the car off, then turn it back on. The car starts, and the radio works for a couple seconds, and i hear the same pop again from the speaker, and there is no longer any sound, and the buttons no longer respond. Even when I use my navi, there is no guidance voice.
I plan on unplugging the battery tomorrow morning to reset the whole system. Hopefully that does the job.
but, has any1 experienced the same problem, or might have any idea or advice on what to do? My last option would to bring it to the stealerships cause they always cause more problems than they fix. Thanks for reading my long story. Advice, and ideas or anything is welcome. Thank You.

Most likely a defective speaker. They are fairly cheap from the dealership to buy. I haven't seen a radio fail for that condition, but have seen them fail for other things as the CD or cassette player don't work.
