annoying noise that I cannot locate

Hey 3G peeps -

First, I've used this forum for countless problems/ideas since I've had my TL since June 2019 so thanks for posting info and keep it going please.

Now, I have this annoying noise that is coming near from the passenger side of the engine that I cannot pinpoint. I took the drive belt off yesterday thinking i could test every pulley and surely one would be the culprit but they all seem to be operating as normal - no wiggling and all rotate without problems but unsure really how to know if it is a bearing going bad though. Any advice would be great.

The belt is newer, was replaced in June 2019 so I'm pretty sure that's good too, visual inspection didnt show any abnormalities. I think it may be coming from the a/c compressor but hopefully not.

*i have attached a video plus a couple pics of the TL. A map bulb burnt out the other week so i ordered some blue LED from amazon and they look cool but holy hell they are so bright it would be a major distraction to drive with at night or even be driving next to me with one on. thought i'd post anyways.*

I CANNOT UPLOAD THE VIDEO FOR SOME REASON, PLEASE SEE ON YOUTUBE link

Thanks

Sounds like air in your power steering line.. If you pop the top off the reservoir, is it bubbling up? May need to rebuild your pump with all new o-rings/seals https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p...-scans-841134/

Thanks for the quick reply. I just went out and started it up and checked the power steering reservoir and it's not bubbling at all, seems good to go.

Wouldn't they be wobbly while running or at least be able to move them back and forth without the belt on if it were bad? Or how else to determine that besides replacing everything in the area?

Also, this only occurs when it's been sitting overnight or very long periods of time. I'm far from an expert at this but would it not be making that noise all the time or why only intermittently and only cold start?

Almost confirmed that it may be a tensioner or pulley.
that;s how they start to go bad...intermittent, until one day it seizes

Thanks for the advice and will provide an update soon. I purchased replacement parts and installing next week to hopefully put an end to the world's most annoying sound; well behind this one.

Problem found and fixed

I bought the tensioner pulley in hopes it was the problem and when I had the freaking timing belt, water pump required maintenance done today, my mechanic said the top pulley would spin continually do was definitely bad.

Thanks for the spot on replies to my original post.
