Air vents smells like Putting Nose into Vacuum Bag

Not sure what's up with my Fans but when I turn on the A/C it smells like someone just unloaded a bag of dust from a vacuum bag into my vents.

There's no visible dust particles, but the air feels intoxicating.

I'm not sure if it's only with the AC on, it can be triggered when AC is off and switching between -Circulate-in-car-air & -allow-incoming-air modes.

I replaced the cabin filter hoping it would fix it, but didn't do anything.

A musty smelling venting in Honda products is fairly common. The primary cause is running your A/C on recirculate a lot instead of using the outside air setting (I know, this is the norm when first turning it on in the AUTO setting) or failing to dry out your evaporator.

About five minutes, or a few miles, before you arrive at your destination after having used your A/C for a while, turn it off, make sure you are on outside air, dash vents in use, and fan on high setting. This will help to remove some of the condensation from the evaporator coil and reduce the buildup of mold and mildew - the cause of the odor.

also check the cabin air filter.....

when detailing the car i do the following:

1> turn the AC on full with the incabin circulation off !!!
2> close all doors and spray some lysol (from outside) into the air vents (right below the viper)
3> leave it like that for 5 minutes....and turn everything off
4> enjoy the mold free environment

This is the correct product to use after you change your cabin filter.

No sense just treating the sypmtom .. treat the problem.
