AEM v2 filter placement
the other day i was installing my 3k Hids for my Foglights. i noticed the filter is pushed up real tight into my foglight where the harness and back side of the bulb are. could this be a potential problem? is there a way to fix this?
anyone have pics of their aem v2 installed by the filter area? Thanks

do you have OEM fogs? accord fogs?
here is a pic of when i installed mine, and i had no problems with fitment sourrounding the foglights. make sure the top of the intake (near manifold) is pushed in as far left as it'll go. i even have a p2r spacer and had no problems.

i've also got an 07 type-s. your filter should not be jammed against anything...got any pics?
n yeah i bought the intake second-hand, so i assumed it was missing a bracket or something. the homemade one gets the job done tho. just a piece of thick sheet metal and i measured and drilled 2 holes on each side, then used a rubber mounting grommet and washer/bolt...keeps the intake in place with adaquete flexing.

i dont have any pics but i will try and take some when i have time to mess with the car again.
i def. need to make a bracket for the intake since might is only connected from the top and thats it.
also is there a way to adjust the aim of my foglights? im not sure if its because of my filter from the intake or not but my drive side foglight output is higher than the passenger side.
appreciate the pics sharksbreath

i'm guessing your foglight is probably angled-off bc of the filter hitting the housing. that is a possibility.
i replaced my OEM fog lights with ddm tuning 5000k and they are straigt as can be (just like the OEM ones)
were your fog lights aimed differently before you installed the new HID's? you shouldn't have to adjust anything because it's just plug n play yanno?

dude dont worry about it. mine is the same. i noticed it a couple weeks when i pulled out my fender liner a bit i saw that my filter was pretty much touching the back of the foglight bulb. no issues though.
yeah you should def have a bracket there, i mean...there is a mounting bracket attached to the AEMv2 for a reason.
and if your fog light housing is pushing against your filter for an extended period of time, it'll cause your filter to lose it's shape with a nasty indentation. i've seen it numerous times.
