Acura TL Engine Misfire

I recently purchased a 2004 certified pre owned TL with 53,000 miles for 14K. the car is amazing, but there is one concern i have:
the CEL light come on a couple days while using the sportshift and hooked it to a scanner, and the codes came as P0301, P0305, and P0300. Misfire in cylinder 1, 5, and random misfire. how do i go about fixing this?
also is the car safe to drive around since i would not be able to take any action until Monday.

Thank You and Happy Holidays

if you have the extended warranty, or any warranty, i would suggest going down that path.

the CPO cars come with extra warranty, thats what makes them worth the price.
Its either in the ecu or a coil
Gen3 has a service bulletin on the problem
Call the dealer and ask if its ok to drive, or would they send the tow truck

I had this same thing happen to my 04 TL Back in November. I pulled all the spark plugs one at a time starting on the front and found that one of them had hard black stuff built up in the gap. I replaced that plug and the car has not had any problems. After 1000 miles I replaced all the plugs including the new one and I didn't see any damage.

If it was me I would start with the plugs, then look at coils. Those are the cheaper ways and can easily be done yourself. Good luck.

The problem is false codes. there is a tsb on this problem. The Ecu needs to be reprogrammed.

Anyone heard of this happening in an '07 Type S? Changed out plugs, swapped around coil packs. Same thing all the way around. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ignition Control Module maybe?

So you're getting a CEL and pulling the same codes?

well spark plugs. replaced those two. then test drive it. if it doesn't go away swap two
different coil with two other coils and mark them. from left rear is 1 -2-3
from front left 4-5-6. then test drive if it comes back injector or head gasket.

i have the same problem in 07 type S 64k miles

Few weeks ago i had engine light flash and went away on hard acceleration. so on monday changed all 6 spark plugs and then tested with hard acceleration, same thing cel flashed and went away so tried again on back roads and this time cel came on and stayed...i got p0300, p0301, p0305.

I guess next thing is changing coils but they are not cheap. probably around $96 listing and $72ish discounted price.

Looking for any assistance and i tried to open up the tsb but not able to open it. and sorry not trying to jack the thread.

Found the TSB, i am wondering if it will also apply 07 tl type s..since it does only state 04 tl but dated nov 8th 2011.

I have an 06 and it misfired when I was starting it. So they replaced all the spark plugs, coils, and fuel injectors and its starts up perfect.
