Acura TL '06 does not accelerate after full stop

Hi All - I guess my Acura TL 06 is developing tranny problem.
Usually it happens in the morning when I leave home for work. I gently go down the street to the first stop sign and after the full stop the car does not accelerate. I switch from automatic to manual and it starts moving. And than I can switch back to automatic and it runs fine. It happen every morning for first 2-3 full stops (stop sign or red light). In addition, for last few weeks I have been experiencing my car jerks when I accelerate from full stop or make turns on intersection.

Any idea what need to be fixed? I would REALLY appreciate your help.

NOTE: I did ODBII scan and got no codes.

Best regards,

Dear airpeace.....thanks for your response.
My mechanic changed the transmission fluid 3 times and flush it but no major improvement. Because ODBII didn't give any code he is not sure what could be the possible reason of this issue. Please advise further.

possibly pressure sensors? or the gear position sensor, check this thread out: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/c-037-diy-gear-position-sensor-replacement-aka-transmission-range-switch-892223/

Dear paperboy42190.....thanks for your response.
I will try to replace "gear postion sensor" and let you know.
Just curios - Do think its a sensor problem? because ODBII scan didn't show any code to my mechanic.

well I wouldnt have recommended it if I didnt think it was a possibility. I mean it might be your transmission dying but just wanted to give you some options before shelling out $2000+ for a rebuild. No way for me to know for sure online

More info:

I took my car to mechanic yesterday and he saw the car shaft was in bad state. He replaced it and now my issue has been fixed by 80%. (That means - "Car does not accelerate after full stop" is reduced to 2 - 3 times a day as compared to every full stop).
BUT now sometime when I make a full stop at right light it strongly jerks back. It happens approximately after 1 sec when car stopped 100% and idle. I think it happens when car is idle and it tries to switch to 1st gear from neutral. Please advise.

I really do not believe you did anything to solve the underlying problem. The only way it would have actually been the axle is if the axle was actually broken and not transmitting power from the trans to the wheels. Then it would not accelerate from a stop 100% of the time. You still have an issue with the trans not engaging.

Hi Guys,

Just an update - I had to replace my car transmission to resolve this issue It cost me $2000 (rebuild with 1 year warranty).
I took my car to various mechanics but nobody was able to tell what was the issue. Everybody said I need to replace the trann.

Best regards,
