Does anyone know the best or easiest way to get to and replace the AC Expansion Valve in a 04 TL? I have already replaced the compressor and would like to replace this as well. I also have a "dryer filter" but it's not what I thought it was!!! My bad, but I can't think of where this would go in the system. It's not the one that is attached to the condenser. Help me get this car back on the road!!! TIA

 

i believe it's under the dash but I am not sure

 

Yup - pretty sure it is located near the blower motor under the passenger's side dash and the evaporator.

 

Yeah, just wondering if there are any tricks or anything that would make it more accessible. Thanks for the replies! I'm thinking about sending these two parts back and not worrying about the compressor warranty... Not sure. I'm fixing to plati cote the grill right now!
