About to install heads, what else should I look at replacing?

My heads are almost ready to reinstall, so I'm putting together a list of items to replace while I have somewhat easy access to most of the engine bay. The car is near 170k miles.

The pre cats look ok, but I have no idea if they've ever been replaced. This is probably an opportune time to replace them. What brand do you guys recommend?

I broke a couple injectors during removal, so I'm looking at replacing them all. Again, what brand do y'all recommend?

Getting new o ring for water pump to thermostat housing passage tube.
New thermostat.
New EGR valve.
New radiator hose.
New water pump and timing belt kit.
New serpentine.

What else should I look at replacing while I got the engine tore apart?

if you're not looking for power, go OEM for EVERYTHING.
OEM cats and OEM injectors.
you're chancing it on the off chance that aftermarket parts dont fit or are not built to OEM standards

The dealership wants $408 for the rear Bank pre cat $390 for the front pre cat and $93 per injector. After tax that's nearly $900 for the cats alone. I can't spend that much right now. Is there a place that sells OEM Parts for less?

Got my head gaskets and cylinder heads on, and my cleaned head bolts are screwed down finger tight.

Does anyone have a diagram showing the bolts torque pattern? And what is the torque e for each bolt?

What parts did you end up buying? Oem or aftermarket?

I don't agree with Justnspace regarding poor fitment.. Unless they're the shittiest parts on the planet. In terms of reliability and lasting though...

I didn't do the cats. I'm going to just do all 3 of them at once down the road and decide then.

you shouldn't need to replace cats unless they fall below efficiency according to the ECU. If it's filtering/breaking up pollutants than its working! If you do end up wanting to "replace" them, you can gut the insides if you live in a state without emissions inspections for free!

I would recommend you do the oil pan and oil pump seals while you have everything apart for the waterpump and timing belt. It's a common issue at higher miles with them leaking. Also would recommend you buy the o-rings for $15 for the power steering pump and rebuild it while you have the chance.

Also replace your spark plug tube seals and cam seals and front crank seal when doing the timing belt, well worth it while you are in there!

Check out the condition of your lower control arm bushings and make sure they aren't torn. If they are torn, its $40 per side for new ones from acura and well worth it!

If it's an 04-06, I'd recommend you replace the transmission filter and 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches if an automatic!

Thanks for the heads up on the tranny 3rd/4rth.

I've got all new injectors, they arrived today. Is it easier to mount then to the fuel tail then install, or easier to install them 1 by 1 then mount to fuel rail?
