3x3 auto trans flush

Does anyone have the scans from the service manual regarding the 3x3 auto tranny flush method? I would like to give them to my mechanic. It seems that he was not able to get anywhere close to 3 quarts out. I would like to have the acura instructions that indicate that. I have searched the garage but have not found the instructions.

There's a DIY on this, I believe, but you probably aren't going to find Acura tech documentation on this because Acura's standard procedure for this is just a 1x3 drain/refill. They don't do a 3x3 flush if you take it in for a trans fluid change.

If you press them they may use a pump to get all of it out, but definitely they won't do a 3x3 - at least that's what Acura Brookfield told me here in Wisconsin.

If you aren't getting 3 quarts out then I don't know what else to do besides use a pump to extract everything by force. I've done several 3x3 flushes and always get 3 quarts (give or take)...

FYI, not true. Read C-25.

Reread C-25 and the link provided by Ron A in bold letters at the top of the post. You'll need a lift or jackstands for this.

Also, C-26 is a modified version (you actually drive the vehicle between drain and fills instead of shifting on a lift).

chrissakes I'm blind. I've always used the C-026 user-made DIY with all the pretty color pictures

C-025 does indeed show tech docs, although doesn't list doing the drain/refill 3 times as SOP which is still beyond me.

Yeah it does (the service bulletin):

"8. Set the parking brake, and repeat steps 2 thru 6 two more times."
