HEY Everyone! I'm new to the Acura TL-S Crew and my Newly Preowned TL-S is giving me clutch sticking issues. When I drive normally it seems to be fine at most times, but when I decide to drive hard, the clutch pedal sticks. I've read multiple threads on the issue but I haven't found the answer. Ive noticed that even guys who have changed their master cylinder and slave cylinder have the same issue. Could you PLEASE HELP!!!
I don't think your clutch is necessarily going out. If it doesn't slip during hard acceleration, and only when you do quick shifts, it's probably the clutch delay valve. I personally believe you shouldn't remove it, as the clutch in the TL doesn't have dampening springs. I find that releasing the clutch at it's sweet spot instantly (drop that clutch) will prevent the clutch from slipping during hard shifts. If you let it out gradually, it will ride the clutch. If you release it too early, it won't be smooth. Regardless, release the pedal fast as you can.
TL;DR
clutch displayed same symptoms as OP. only after a HIGH RPM run my clutch pedal would stick to floor.
tried the delay valve......didnt have any difference to sticking clutch.
tried swapping fresh clutch fluid.....NO EFFECT ON STICKING CLUTCH.
I kept beating on it and EVENTUALLY it started to slip in 5th and 6th gear.
pulled clutch and saw heat scores on pressure plate.
this is bad.
Slipping clutch.
almost every one has tried to fix the sticking clutch by deleting delay valve and swapping fluid...even as far as replacing clutch master and slave cylinders without fixing sticking clutch.........
this is a no go and probably why you cant find info on how to fix sticking clutch.
I'm here to say that after I replaced my clutch the sticking clutch issue has been resolved.

I have a 07 TL Type-S manual that started having the sticky clutch peddle 115K miles. It has no signs of clutch slippage. My mechanical experience is advance driveway mechanic.
My problem; It seems driving or standing still, with fast or slow clutch foot peddle action. There will be a delay where my foot is off the peddle and the peddle is slowly catching up to my foot. At one point it was like a 4 second delay, if I held the peddle to the floor for about 15 seconds standing still with the engine off.
I was able to consistently re-produce the 4 second delay with the car standing still. I held the peddle to the floor for about 15 seconds and then released. So I had my wife do it 5 -6 times and than I had her hold it to the floor and I open the bleeder on the slave and instantly the clutch arm was back at to the slave.
I assumed that the delay valve in the slave was failing and installed a new slave (oem). I had help bleeding the slave after I installed. Using the push the peddle and hold, open the bleeder, close the bleeder. Helper slowly pulling the peddle back up and repeating until no signs of air. Continued until we bleed out about 8 oz to make sure there was no air upstream in the lines and never let the reservoir get dry.
I still get the sticky felling and delay when driving and even when standing still with the motor off, not getting the 4 seconds but at time a few seconds. I'm thinking, I did not bleed the slave correctly. That maybe the car requires bench bleeding. Or, I have a defective master or another issue.
Anyone have this issue? Any ideas? Am I look at it wrong?

What about the flywheel? Was it a LUK clutch? Was it preset?
