3G Tl Type-S Died while driving. Need help
2007 Tl Type-S with 89k miles. So I went to a different town for a job orientation. 30 minute drive completely fine then came to a stop at a stop light and right before it turns green car dies out…doesn’t start. Got it jumped and started driving home, bout half way in slowing down for a light trying to get it green it dies out around 35-40 mph, kicked it into neutral and glided into a Pizza Hut parking lot, crank no start now, even with a jump.
key immobilizer works fine, I put a brand new battery in, new ground wires and completely cleaned the positive and negative terminal cables, wire, cleaned the wires leading to the fuse box..still doesn’t start. No codes in the onboard computer, same thing with a scanner, I looked into the little hole at the timing and it’s feels whole and doesn’t seem loose, I’m running out of ideas, please some help

1.When it ran for the 2nd time did it sound like it was running rough or low on power?
2. When was the tensioner/timing belt last replaced?
A cheap and quick method to root out potential causes is to get some starter fluid and spray it (no more than 3 seconds) past the air filter directly in to the intake hose.
If the car does start within 10 seconds you can rule out a bad ECU/CPS/Ignition/Compression/mistimed belt and you'd likely have to inspect the fuel system.
If the car does not start within 10 seconds you have the inverse problem.

I just bought the car at 87k miles
Why did you need a jump? Was it showing signs of dead battery? Or were you just cranking on the starter for so long the battery got weak?
Now you state you replaced the battery and such and still won't start. Does the cranking seem/sound normal? You smell gas, but it has never even came close to firing any? Have you pulled a plug to take a peek? At this point, should be soaked in fuel.

Remove cover to check timing belt. https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1...-again-999415/

when you turn the ignition key to turn on the car, do you get a rapid clicking sound of any kind? Does the engine crank over at all?
If the alternator is locked up, it can keep the car from starting, too much resistance for the starter to overcome. Take off the accessory belt and check if alternator pulley moves freely.
