How long do these pumps typically last? 246k miles on my 07. Had power steering fluid leak everywhere. Down the reservoir, on the hoses close to the reservoir, down the timing belt covers, and all over that shiny metal bracket to the right of the pump that it bolts to. I went on and replaced the two o rings that everyone says to replace but its likely my pump is bad if theres dried up fluid on the back of pump and on brackets and stuff right? Pretty easy to rebuild?

 

Did the rebuild one year ago. Had no leakage nor noises, just it was hard to turn. From my perspective it was easy. You just need few tools to disassemble it. From one year experience it was also useless - the steering was better for o while and now it is still hard (or maybe it wasn't easier at all and it was my expectation/ belief &#128522. During annual inspection the guy was close to fail me because of it. Now I'm thinking about buying the replacement.
