3G TL Battery Problem?

I can't start up my 05 TL this morning. When I turn my key to "on", the dashboard light is up, but when I turn to ignition, the car won't startup. I just wanna make sure that this is something wrong with the battery, not anything else...

If you can, have your battery checked at Autozone or somewhere they do free battery checks. One of the cells may have gone bad. Seems to be common in the OEM batteries. If it's your original battery, then I'd say it's about due anyway.......

Why do these cars eat batteries? Our 07 TL goes through a battery every 9 months! WTF?? The 99 Lexus GS300 I replaced still had the original battery in it when I sold it. That battery lasted over 8 years! Are the batteries just in a bad spot that gets too hot? Our always fail in the hot Texas months.

Its a much more complex car electrically.

I just bought my 08 Type S and had to replace the battery the very next day!! So weird that in just under 2 years, the car is on its second battery. I guess all the electronics rip threw them?? Once this sucker dies, I'm going after an AC Delco. heard they last forever

If you go to start it and you hear an extremely weak start or nothing at all chances are very good its the battery. If you keep cranking and cranking may be the starter. I'm gonna go with the battery on this though.

I still have my OE battery (as far as I know), when it gets real cold here I can tell the CCA are getting weak. It's time anyway, too bad optimas are so expensive.
