30 day what ever happens waranty:)

Hey everyone,

My 30 day what ever happens waranty is about to expire in about 1 week so i decided off the car at the dealer and have them fix a few things

Repairs:
Wafles are all bent
Drivers side headlight is dim(ballast is done..)
Drivers side window goes up halfway then drops back down.
Bluetoof doesnt work
Passenger seat is loose
Front right ball joint is finished
Rear passenger door squeaks when opening
Power steering makes a weird sound

Im deffinetly going to be getting my moneys worth... Is there anything else i should tell them to look at?

It sounds like you recently got this car. Did all this stuff happen after you bought it? Or did you buy it with the issues mentioned above?

I picked it up with all these issues. I wanted to buy the car with these issues because it helped me bring down the price and i knew id be able to get all these things changed. Its a 08 type S SSM, I love it and i love the warranty. i just want to make sure everything i need to get done has been completed before the waranty expires.

^ Interesting.

Bent wheels + suspension issues may mean the previous owner hit things (or people ) so I'd have them look over everything while those wheels are off, especially the front right. After all that is done, get a full alignment.

As for the power steering thing, check with Acura to see if the recent power steering recall applies to you and get that sorted out as well.

I'm not an expert on these things whatsoever so if anyone else has any advice, feel free to add.

Did you get it in writing?

Most of the time is motor and tranny only for 30 days on those local dealerships.....

They brought down the price so you buy it with the issues you appointed to them....if they fixed all those issues then the price would be higher but I could be wrong..

Most of those issues seem minor apart from the wheels which will be pricey....everything else is easy...look into the power steering recall also

Yes i have everything in writing, they have my car for the week and are paying for the rental because they did not have one available for me. i will stop by tonight and advise them to check the mounts and etc...

BTW the car has 94,000km wich is about 58,000 miles i believe.

94,000 KM is 58,400 miles, but it seems like this car was well "used." Lots to be fixed in a short period of time / miles. Hopefully the dealer will make it right and you don't find other things down the road.

Sorry to dog you, but the sealership will try and make a documentarary about you if you are not atamant and writing down things, put the car up in the air at another shop and pay the $20 or whatever and give yourself the piece of mind.

Be thourough. Then you will have piece of mind. Its all you can do.

Good luck.

What kind of title do you have? In Fl there are the regular titles, salvage titles and certificates of destruction. There is a big market with central america for making 2 cars into 1.

This is what caught my attention after the OP told us the mileage. That definitely shows that the previous owner(s) drove the car hard...

OP, just out of curiosity, was the discount on the sale price of the car substantial enough in light of what needs to be fixed?

This. It may be worth bringing to a trusted indy mechanic to have them give it a full inspection and make an itemized list for you to bring back to your dealer.

Either way, good luck.
