250k Miles - Power Steering Problems Return

Well, I probably have more miles then most on my 2004 TL.
250k and counting. It's been great to me. I still love this car.

However . . . the power steering problem keeps coming back.

So far:
Replaced the o-ring - a bunch of years ago.
Replace the warranty leaky line . . . got that one. Probably 4 years ago.
Replaced the pump, a year or two ago.

So I made it 2 year without a problem . . . Now. . . the whine is back!

What do I do? Can it be the o-ring problem again?? Something that simple.

BTW . . . saw another post about seeing something dripping from the oil pan and person thought it might be ps fluid. Got that too!

You could try replacing the O-ring since it's a cheap part...

Just checked and I do see a leak where the hose connects with the pump?

Will changing the o-ring fix this?? I thought the o-ring supposed to stop air. Might it also be the cause of the leak??

my '05 6mt with 106,000 miles now needs new Rack and Pinion. my 100,000 mile 6 years ran out end of Jan 2012 and Acura Corporate wont help.... I figured they would offer to help a little. Very frustraded with Acura right now!!!!! I planned on giving this car to my son when her got his learners permit and 18 months and enjoying no car payments till then....

in the last 2 weeks, I did the timing belt, water pump, front and side motor mounts, O ring on PS pump, new tires and an alignment....

Now this.. I dont know if I should bail on the car or keep it....

If you already put all that work into the car recently I would just keep it. Plus no car payment.

Woo Hoo! Acura dealership was able to work with me and the car is now getting fixed.

Now, since I plan on giving this car to my son in about 1/5 years, I am looking to know if there is a good extended warrantee for a 6 year old car with 100k+.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Gregg
